A nice surprise for the fans who are waiting for the August 15 to the cinema to see the second episode in the saga of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The sea of monsters: Logan Lerman, film face the demigod son of Poseidon and a human , and Alexandra Daddario, who plays the demigod daughter of Athena Annabeth, will present the annual edition of the Giffoni Film Festival, an important Italian event linked to the cinema for young people. During the Festival the film will premiere on July 23. The Giffoni, now in its 43rd edition, will open on July 19 closing on the 28th of the same month.
We remind readers that the film is based on the eponymous novel by Rick Riordan, the second volume of pentalogy dedicated to Percy Jackson, published in Italy by Mondadori. The first novel in the series, The Lightning Thief, was the subject of the film adaptation. The cast of The Sea of Monsters, directed by Thor Freudenthal, even Brandon T. Jackson (Grover), Douglas Smith (Tyson), Stanley Tucci (Dionysus), Anthony Stewart Head (Chiron) and Sean Bean (Zeus).
