Madhouse Entertainment in association with Paradigm and DreamWorks will begin shooting the found-footage feature film "Glimmer" in May, 2013 and the casting directors are holding auditions for starring and co-starring roles. Additional auditions will take place for supporting roles. The extras will all be hired in Pittsburgh, where filming will take place. The film genre known as "found-footage" is basically films that place the viewer in the center of the action, with the cameraman being one of the characters in the film, rather than a dispassionate observer. DreamWorks won a bidding war with Paramount Pictures for the rights to "Glimmer", which made the Black List top 10 unproduced scripts in Hollywood for 2012.

"Glimmer" centers on a group of teens on a hiking trip who stumble upon a mysterious pond that serves as a time-traveling gateway to the past - 1977. Screen Actors Guild Awards nominee Logan Lerman is playing the role of Tyler Murphy, a reserved high school student who brings four friends on a secret exploration of The Hollows, the wilderness area where his brother Dave died. During the exploration, Ben Johnson, Casey Lee and Mike Spader all simply vanish. Tyler and the other survivor, Allison Kendall work together to investigate what happened. Tyler and Allison try to find a way to alter the past and bring back their friends, while the present universe keeps changing all around them.

British director Ringan Ledwidge is directing from a screenplay written by Carter Blanchard. Ledwidge is an award winning commercial director who made his feature film directorial debut in 2007 with Universal Pictures "Gone", a film that he brought the stunning and amazing talent Yvonne Strahovski into her feature film debut. Screenwriter Carter Blanchard is making his feature film writing debut, however he has three scripts lined up... Intrepid Pictures thriller "Diver," the New Line Cinema horror film "Dead Asleep," and the Fox Searchlight Pictures psychological thriller "Near Death".

Robyn Meisinger of Madhouse Entertainment will executive produce "Glimmer", and is also currently producing the feature film "Prisoners" starring Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Melissa Leo, and Terrence Howard. Making his executive producing debut is Ryan Cunningham, also of Madhouse Entertainment. Adam Kolbrenner is serving as producer for Madhouse. David Boxerbaum is producing for Paradigm. Mark Sourian will oversee production for DreamWorks Studios.
