A gorgeous new UK poster has launched the official UK Facebook page for The Perks of Being a Wallflower, starring Emma Watson (Harry Potter series), Ezra Miller (We Need to Talk About Kevin) andLogan Lerman (Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief).
Based on the book by Stephen Chbosky,The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a coming of age story centred on wallflower Charlie (Lerman) after he is befriended by two fellow students at his school, Sam (Watson) and Patrick (Miller). But fans of the book need not worry – as the book’s author, Chbosky, not only wrote the screenplay but is directing the feature as well.
From the producers of hit-film Juno, this looks to have the combination of bittersweet comedy and drama and appeal to the many film-fans who never quite felt like they fit in. ‘Welcome to the island of misfit toys,’ Sam tells Charlie, and from the trailer it certainly looks like a brilliant, entertaining welcome.
